Dr. Albrecht von Müller is the Founder of Think Tools and a non-executive Member of the Board of Directors. He was elected to the board in 1999 and re-elected in 2002. Prior to founding Think Tools he was the director of the European Center for International Security. Before that, he was working for the Max Planck Society as Programme Director for seven years. Dr. von Müller studied philosophy, physics and social sciences and holds a PhD on the notion of time and the phenomenon of structural evolution.
